FI - document split for FB01

hi SDN.

need to split the FI document for more than 999 items

i'm using the BAPI 'BAPI_ACC_GL_POSTING_POST' for this

within which a FM 'FI_DOCUMENT_PROJECT' is being called.

and in that FM at line 77 when i set the field XSPLIT as 'X" the document is split perfectly.

but how to set the field XSPLIT as X.

i feel there is an exit which needs to be activated and this field is to be set.

please advice on this.
