Developer key for MiniSAP

I am using MiniSAP to learn ABAP programming. I am using the book ABAP Objects - Introduction to programming SAP applications for this purpose.

When I try to create 'S_' program I am prompted for developer key.

I am able to create 'Y_' or 'Z_' type programs.

How do I get this key so I can create S type programs?

Hi,

Why can't you practice it with Y_ and Z_ . and more over you need to contact your Basis for that accesskey.

You will not get developer key through OSS note. You can fetch developer key if you have adminsatration rights through ~~Transaction Oss1~~> Then Enter userd ID/Password~~>Register~~> Define system --> type of access like Register Developer

This system is just like any other ABAP system(R/3) You can not create an object outside of the customer name space, it is not asking for a developer key, it is asking for a object registration key, which is different. Make sure that all objects that you create begin with the Y or Z.

Hi,

I think SAP restricts the development to customer name space (Y and Z) just to help do distinguish between SAP and customer objects. Is there any basic necessity to create an S_ program?
