problem in editing a function module

there was a old development work in 4.7 version

i have imported a object from 4.7 to 5.0 that object has custom functionmodules in it

now i need to edit one of the function module but i am not able to edit in 5.0

when i was editing a warning message comes like 'changes can be done only in original system'

what could be the solution

Hi,

This kind of probelm occur generally when target system system is not correct/available in you.

Please check the Transport no. in SE03=>Find Request=>Execute and double click on Transport no.

then you will be able to check target system.

This target system should be avaiable for 5.0

Welcome to SCN.

It seems modification assistant is ON in your system.

Open your function module in SE37 and inside goto Menu,Edit - modification operations - switch off assistant.
