The MICR line is magnetic ink and is, of course, a unique font. I'm not aware of laser printers that will output the magnetic ink in the right format and font...but I suppose that's a possibility. Do you have a paragraph defined for the MICR line? Is MICR output actually available on your laserjet? The font will be available somewhere, I'm sure.

My bank once accepted fradulent checks and posted to my account without MICR ink. The bank had to post manually, but those bogus checks were printed on a laserjet and the MICR row looked pretty good.

Hi Gary Morman,

Special hardware needed to print MICR line. The printer needs special MICR font converter and MICR toner. Without these you can't print MICR fonts on check. You can convert normal laser printer to a check printer adding two hardware items given above.

Kind regards,

Pavan

Please call HP or find on web for suitable MICR DIMM for your printer. You need this to convert the font. Also you need MICR toner. Check printers also avaialble in the market directly but expensive. You buy HP laser printer and install MICR DIMM and MICR toner. This way it is less expensive. We used HP 4515.

Thanks,

Pavan
