Configuring field exit

Hi,

I created a field exit function module for a data element and activated it. When I try to activate it for triggering ( Simply executing RSMODPRF and selecting the exit and activating), system throws an error "System is not configure for field exit".

What is the remedy to this. Is there any t-code where we can configure field exit.

Hi,

Get in touch with your basis team to perform the required configuration.

FYI..As on R/3 4.6 above version, SAP does not support field exit creation, and hence they have been locked. If you still need to create new field exits in higher versions, then the system needs to be configured for the same.

You have to set the parameter abap/fieldexit value as yes in RZ10 transaction code for the instance profile.

But it needs the server restart to activate this parameter value.

As replied previously, take your basis persons help to do that (because you might not have the authorization to change the profile parameters).
