User keeps Locking

Hi All,

User constantly keeps locking out of Production system and when user goes back into this the password does not get accepted.

we then change this and users changes it once more, user then uses Production system and when user returns to log into this on a future date it does not allow user in please advise.

Check the SUIM of the user.

Also check the SM20 log for why it is getting locked.

Santosh,

The user must have populated the user id and incorrect password (old password) in some external interface or RFC from some other SAP system. The incorrect password must be causing this locking of the user. Check the RFC or possible interfaces where this user id is used.

Hi,

Do you have a heartbeat or something that keeps talking with your system? It could be using the wrong password for the administrator.

Usually it is recommended to do not use the administrator user to this kind of things.

It is first important to understand why the user is being locked out in SAP. Please go to SU01--> Information(Menu bar) --> Change Document for users --> Enter user name --> execute or use transaction SUIM to check the change history of user. Check the logs to understand why the user is getting locked. You can further investigate based on the chnage history data.
