IDOC Message Types

Hi,

I'm currently working on a Legacy Migration project. A number of IDOC Message Types will need to be used with LSMW when I generate the IDOC's. I was wondering if there was a transaction or website that would give me more information on IDOC Message types and what each of the SAP Standard ones have been developed for.

I'm particulary interested in the CRMXIF Message Types.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated

Hi Philip,

The best place to get some info about idocs is in the IFR repository.

You can browse by application components and see if you get what you need. From the message type mentioned in ur message it lokos like its related to CRM. Take a look at the CRM component there are good information available.

Thanks VJ, this was exactly what I was looking for!

Still have one issue remaining.

I'm struggling to locate the following information on the SAP Services MarketPlace.

Any chance you would be able to point me in the right direction of where this test tool is located.

I Have a peculiar issue and I am functional . I thought thsi question can be addressed by Techis effectively.

Waht are the ways to bring XML data into SAP in like IDOC/EDI/BDC/ABAP

IDOC message type ?

Your suggestion on SAP interface to bring External XML data?

The business scenario is like this :

I have an external system and the data required to generate INvoice is in XML format. If I bring the data to SAP then I can generate Invoice, Paymnet run etc smoothly.

As this is Urgent eager to get yr reply soon.

Hi,

This can be done in two ways ...

1. Have a middleware like XI, read the XML file and convert that into a IDOC format or call a RFC and pass the file content.

2. Have a custom program read the file content and call the appropriate RFC.
