main screen and subscreen

I have some fields on subscreen in a main screen. When i click a button on the main screen I need to save the values entered in subscreen.How can i do this.please help.

Do you mean you have entered some value sin ths sub screen and then coming back to the main screen at user command ?

If this is the case , the values will be available if you are using global varaibles.

If I input any values from the program, Thos values are displayed in the input boxes.But IM not able to retrieve values from the fields in the subscreen.

HI,

The OK_CODE which is the user command of any screen will be avaliable in the Main screen onlly, it will not be avaliable in the sub screen. So u can happily save your data in PAI of either main screen or the Sub screen using the OK_CODE.

handle ok_code in the PAI of main screen & declare the data in Sub screen Globally. So u can save the data of the sub screen in the main screen itself. The data declared, i.e your "Input box name" in the sub screen should also be declared in the main program with the same name.(data declaration). So that the data from your sub screen flows to your global variable & then it is avaliable for saving in the PAI of ur main screen.

I want to read the values in the fields of the sub screen to a work area which i am not able to do . How to do this.

Did you try the FM 'DYNP_VALUES_READ' ?

It is throwing invalid dynpro name exception for the program name i gave.Name of my program 'ZREQDET'
