Delete Custom Tasks in Workflow

Hi,

While customizing one of the standard WFs, I created a New Task. The Number assigned to the Task being 99990001. 9999 being customized number range.

But, later I realized, I do not need this task any more

and I deleted it.

At some later time, I needed to create another task for another workflow, and the number assigned being 99990002.

My client do not want the 99990001 number to go waste. Is there a way, I can reset the Number Range to 99990001.?

check TRANSACTION SWU3. In which u can set number range.

Hi,

I am sorry to say that once a number is assigned to a task, you can not use it again, even if you delete the task.

The only way is to reset the number range.

This is not at all advisable.
