Hello!

I could add some more approaches to solve your task.

1. You can use trees represented by class CL_GUI_ALV_TREE, for example.

2. You can use two ALV Grids. One of them shows header data while another shows item data. Both grids you should place in docking container. Futhermore, you should handle a hotspot or double click event in the ALV Grid with header data.

Best regards, Eugene.

Please let me know how should i go...

I went thru the docking container.. not sure how ll this work out...

regards,

Poonam

Edited by: Poonam Naik on May 5, 2010 7:05 AM

can you add some more points to docking container.. will this be applicable to my second approach or recommended one?

just to add. I have just one internal table which is having both header n line items...

If you have one internal table and can't split it in two, you can choose between FM REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY and class CL_GUI_ALV_TREE. So in case of this choice you don't need to use a docking container, just an ordinary CL_GUI_CUSTOM_CONTAINER instead. If you'd prefer to use two ALV Grids, you'd better use class CL_GUI_EASY_SPLITTER_CONTAINER as a container.

Best regards, Eugene.
