Idoc data transfer

I have a requirement to send 3 files to some systems using idoc.can any1 sugggest a way for doing this?

hi,

idoc is not meant for sending files to another system, they are basically data containers which are sent to other systems like to send the data related to sales orders you can send idoc ORDERS.

you need to first be clear with the requirement for which business object you want to transfer the data, then need to look out if the Idoc is available for the same then only u can sent it.

for more info on idocs you can easily search on forums.

My requirement is to send material master data to some other systemsand they have jst given that do it through idocs.I don't know the rest details.

Use ALE to distribute Material master data. Message type MATMAS. Trasaction is BD10.

hi,

in that case you need to perform ALE configuations in your source system to send the Idoc to other system.

you can just put "step to send idoc from source system" in google or on sdn and you will many step by step link for your help.
