He is saying the changes are not reflecting in QA.

My question is do we transport the TR or Functional guys(customer) do it.

Bcoz In my SE09 the TR does not show tick mark. I told the same but he is very confident that he has tranported.

What to do? If your changes is not transported then Quality will not work. Sometimes developed will release the TR sometimes Function Person will transport. I do not know how the methodlogies your project is following. There will one Parent Reust and then child request. Child Request called Task. First you need to release the child request (Task) and will release the parent request.

Usually its the task of developers to release the transport. In your case check the below:

1) Check table E070

2) There might be some missing objects so the TR might not have been transported successfully.

3) Go to SE10 , click on the main request and check the transport logs.

4) Check the Log overview. For successful transport if should be set as (0) Successfully Completed.

I have asked the functional guy to test it. He is saying the changes are not reflecting in QA

Check for the log overview.

My question is do we transport the TR or Functional guys(customer) do it

.

We release the TR and basis guys move it to test system.

Bcoz In my SE09 the TR does not show tick mark. I told the same but he is very confident that he has tranported

Go to SE09 and Click on Released. Check if your TR is available.

Edited by: Mishra.Manas on Apr 28, 2010 9:16 AM

I'm not sure the release strategy and authorizations used by your client. I don't know whether it's through SOLMAN or it is being done directly.

If you are using SOLMAN copy of transport is possible, so you don't have to move the TR but only need to release the task and do a copy of transport. As described your main TR has not been released, but the tasks are released.

check the log for the TR. If it has been moved then it must be in the log.

Hi Priya,

One more thing you can do it. You can check your program's latest transport request by checking its version.

For checking version you simply need to go through this way..

Program -> Utilities -> Version -> Version Management.

Here you have 2 main blocks:

1. Version(s) in the development database

2. Version(s) in the version database

If Transport Request is visible in the first block, then your TR is not transported,it is still in Development.

If TR shows in topmost level in second block, then TR is released.

As per the Releasing of TR, Task must be released by you and TR may or may not be released by you.

If you are working in SOLMAN environment, then some senior team member may be release all the TRs.

You only needs to release the tasks.

But in My case, I myself release the task and TR.

You also have one feature to reimport of your released TR again in Quality, if you have permission in Quality server.

Transaction code for this is STMS_IMPORT.

For reimport the TR again in Quality server, go to

Extras -> Other Request -> Add (after transaction STMS_IMPORT)

Give here TR details, Target client and tick mark the Import Again checkbox.....

Simply says An ABAPER can Release both, but it depends on your project.

May it solved your problem.

Thanks.

Deepak Sharma.

Edited by: deepaks sharma on Apr 28, 2010 10:46 AM

Just to add some more info as the query is related to Script.

Scripts are client dependandant and hence needs to be imported using SCC1 if the server is having multiple clients. If Dev is having 201 and 202,then whatever the changes that you did to the script in 201 will be available in 202 only after you import the changes using SCC1.To do this there is no need to release the TR as it is within the server.

K.Kiran.
