Hai Urmila,

In earlier releases i.e release 2.x cts is said to Correction and Transport system.

in latest releases its Change and Transport System.

The CTS system is actually made up of various components which allow for the movement of objects and help to maintain comparable and up-to-date changes from one system to the next.

The Change and Transport System (CTS) is a tool that helps you to organize development projects in the ABAP Workbench and in Customizing, and then transport the changes between the SAP Systems and clients in your system landscape. This documentation provides you with an overview of how to manage changes with the CTS and essential information on setting up your system and client landscape and deciding on a transport strategy. Read and follow this documentation when planning your development project.

CTS stands for Correction and Transport System .

**Changes created in the development system must somehow be moved, then incorporated into the test system, then subsequently moved and incorporated into the production system.

**The SAP Correction and Transport System (CTS) serves this purpose and is the vehicle by which SAP moves objects such as programs, screens, configurations or security settings from one system to the next

hi evry one plz help me with this question .

when a program is created & need to be transported to prodn does the selection texts always go with it . ? if not the how do u make sure . ? can we change the cts entries ? how do u do it ?

Hi Rohit,

If you have selected R3TR PROG <Progname> then all the objects would be transported along with the program. You dont have to seperately attach and transport.

It is always recommended to attach high level objects in the request.

If you only select R3TR REPS <Progname> then you will only transport the report source and not the text along with it. So always include the higher level object in the request.

You can also change a request before it is released.
