Incorrect asset creation

If an asset got posted with a transaction type reserved for Asset under construction. what is the best way to correct it? transfer to new asset? retirement and reposting?

Hi,

Please do Asset transfer with T.code - ABUMN instead of retirement of asset.

SInce this is wrong posting, and we have not yet run depreciation, Don't you think that we can simply reverse the posting. and then repost with correct transaction type. This way the asset number will stay same.
