is there anyone who can tell me the class/method name for uploading/downloading data from application server .Please don't mention the *Open Data Set syntax .*

Why you dont want to use 'Open dataset' ?

You can also use CG3Z,CG3Y transactions for upload,download file to application server.

hi,

Use CG3Y to download from application server to persentation server and CG3Z to upload from presentation server to applciation server.

Check function modules C13Z_FILE_UPLOAD_ASCII & C13Z_FILE_UPLOAD_BINARY.

yes , your ans is write .but my requirement is upload/ download automatically from applicatiob server . but if i use open dataset the i am facing some problem regarding the file format . To avoid those things i have to do lots of coding and for that reason the performance is degrading .So i just want to know is there any class/method .

I dont think there are any other than the standard OPEN DATASET with READ DATASET. The formatting problems can be easily rectified by the proper use of cl_abap_char_utilities attributes. You cannot also use CG3Y and CG3Z since you might want to do this automatically in background.

You can use the function modules mentioned in the above post. But what Vikrant says is correct, even in these function modules also OPEN DATASET and CLOSE DATASET is used internally.

FYI these transactions are not available in SAPNW 7.0 so even if you use them during subsequent migration your code will give errors.
