Hi Gurus,

I need to find a way to allow users to execute LSMW scripts without providing them with access to transaction LSMW.

Can anyone tell me how to create and assign an executable LSMW Object to a new transaction code that would only allow users to execute a particular data load?

By the way, LSMW requires the user to execute multiple steps to complete the data load. Is there any ways to automate/ simplify the manual execution?

Cheers,

Hi, We faced a similiar requirement.

I don't think you can assign a transaction code to a custom LSMW. If you don't want to give access of LSMW to user, then write the Z program with the steps included in LSMW and assign a transaction code to it.

Regards

Vinod

in the very first step in LSMW you have a radio button to define whether the LSMW shall run once or periodically.

switch to periodically.

you will then get a new step at the very end. Here you can create a program for periodical migrations.

you can then create a new transaction in SE93 and assign this program

Edited by: Jürgen L. on May 12, 2010 10:12 AM
