Custom Idoc clarifications..

Hi,

How to know which segment or fields are added to the Standard IDOC.

WE have some custom Z idocs but dont know which fields and segments are added to the Standard Idoc, so how to find those fields and segments which are added ..

Hello sai krishna,

Can u please check the the extension for that IDOC using WE02 or WE82 transactions(give IDoc number or Message type respectively), in WE82 extension is maintained, check that extension using WE30 transaction in which you will find the custom segments and its fields, open custom segments using WE31 transaction.

hi,

All IDoc type are given in table EDBAS

and all message type is given in table EDMSG.

Sai,

Goto we82 get the message type,idoc type and if any extension

we30 - give basic type or extension name and find out all the segments

we31 - give the segment name and find out all the fields in that

If they are extension IDOCS then custom segments are easily visible in transaction WE30.

If they are Z IDOCS created as copies of standard IDOCS (not using the extension technique) then you will not be able to tell the difference. In this case you will have to compare Segment by segment against the standard IDOC.
