This is how we handle the situation..

One of our program process the data hourly and create text file which it then tries to FTP to customer. If FTP fails for any reason it then submits a Z program (which is copy of RSFTP002 with extra feature to send email notification) to execute later, which then tries to FTP the same file again.

In case this Z program fails again, it will then send email notification.

Regards,

Pawan.

Hi,

Currently the program uses the function module 'FTP_CONNECT' to connect the destination server.

Incase if the destination server is donw, it says 'Not Connected'. And thereby the program throws an error message and the job gets cancelled.

Am just checking out some way to prevent this job cancellation.

Let us assume that the server will be down only for 1 Hr.

Is there anyother FM which will wait and connect. Or can we handle this in a different way.

Reg

Naveena
