Hi,

In the standard report a variant will be selected for selection-screen and will be executed in background. I need the variant name selected has to get updated in Spool Title. The second thing is that a custom Z program has to pick the latest spool number of the standard Report.

So how to link Variant and spool.

Could you share the name of the standard program and do you need the variant name in spool content in report header?

To get the variant name in the report header of spool content, An enhancement can be created which will write the variant name from SY-SLSET. This can be put under a condition SY-BATCH EQ X, so that it runs for background jobs only. Need to check whether the same can be achieved without any enhancements.

The ZREPORT for getting the latest spools can be created by using table TSP01.

one doubt,

is the standard program is currently generating the spool,

if yes what is the naming convention it follows

and do you really want to change that , then you need to debug the running standard program to see at what point it is creating spool , so before that you need to track the correspoding spool and do the core code modification accordingly.

The way you are proposing to proceed, i dont think you can achieve a full proof solution without modifying your standard solution.

Are you open to some other solution ?

hi,

Once variant is updated in spool title then i need to pick the person who created the variant. The standard report program will be scheduled to run in background. There is any settings needs to be done for updating variant name in spool title after executing standard program in background.
