multiple email-receiver ?

hi,

when sending emails from SAP there is ONE Email for every single receiver in SCOT.

i have 2 email-adresses:

mail1(at)sap.com
mail2(at)sap.com

Is it possible to send ONE(!!!!) mail with both receivers. and NO, i want to put the 2 adresses together

and i can't use the shared distribution list from sap-office !!!

when trying to put the addresses togehter like in outlook or so i get an error:

mail1(at)sap.com;mail2(at)sap.com or 
mail1(at)sap.com,mail2(at)sap.com

does not work there. the ',' or ';' as split-sign does not work here

any ideas ?

thanks, but that does not help

the problem is: i enter the email-adress when defining a job in SM36. in a step in the printer options i use

the function for a 'email-printer-deivice'. i can enter a email-adress there. so the question is, if i can

enter more than one adress.

it is all sap-standard.

Ok, that narrows it down nicely...


i use the function for a 'email-printer-deivice'. i can enter a email-adress there. so the question is, if i can enter more than one adress.

I'd say the answer is clearly no (release 7.0) and I doubt that anybody else has a better answer. However, you hadn't yet ruled out defining distribution groups/email groups on the mail server your company uses...

Hi Harald,

yes, i use group-mailboxes on the lotus notes server. i NEVER use personal email-adresses.

BUT thats the problem: i need 2 groups in each step of my job for the email-receiving the 2 groups have nothing to do with each other in our company.

the only way i am on now, is to submit the step twice in the job. problem is: i have 57 steps in a job, from where the spool-list is emailed as pdf.

that means i would have to run 57 steps twice. thats a big problem of running time

Hi Martin,

Yes this is correct. You cannot store multiple email addresses seperated by a comma (,) or a semi-colon ( in SAP. This caused problems with recipient mail servers not being able to read multiple email addresses so this functionality was removed.

You will now have to save multiple email address on a seperate line or use a distribution list (SO15).
