block a user from a tcode and diable print preview button

Hi experts,

i want to block a few users from ME9F tocde.

whats the procedure for that? i am getting many posts related to this but nothingwhcih says. the steps u shouls go about.

please let me know how i should block a user from a tcode.

aslo i want to do this basically for not allowing users to print PO's from print preview button.

whats the solution for this. he should not be able to print until its totally released.

but now he can print thro print preview button. basically want to diable this button from me23n /me22n tcodes.

so trying out options. blocking ME9F is one of them. howevr i want to know even that and others.

1) Blocking users from a transaction is done via authorizations. You could use authority object S_TCODE.

2) Disabling the PO printout via the preview function can only be done via a modification (function SSFDISPLAY_OTF_LIST and/or SSFCOMP_PDF_PREVIEW). But there is a more elegant solution: You could check if a PO should be printed or not in the PO print program. If the PO should not be printed, just exit the print program without printing.

but i would like to know the steps of doing these. what shoudl i do with authortiy object s_tcode. wher and how to make this happen.

same with the other functions. where are they and how to modify?

and how to come out of print program, u mean the one tied to in output types config?

Solution to your problem can be found with a BASIS guy. In the respective user profiles, it can be set.

doing an enhancement for such a issue is possible by writing a user exit wherein u validate the user as he enters

the tcode. but i dont this is a smart way of doing things.
