Plz tell me if their is any program, function module which can do version comparison when any program name is given as input.

You can use the following Fm for version comparison:

/SDF/CMO_COMP_VERSION "preferred

AKB_VERSION_COMPARE

SVRS_SHORT2LONG_NAME

there is no FM needed, this is a stadrard functionality you can reach over the menu.

E.G. SE38, pick any program and press F7.

Then goto: utilities->versions->version managment.

there you can now compare different versions of the program as well as do remote comparisons to other system for which a transport route is defined.

HI,

FM is not needed in case you manually want to do the version comparison. If there are lot of programs whose versions are to be compared then, FM is required. If you want to do it through a program then FM is required.

Hi,

Its there in SE38 tcode itself.... Go to SE38 ...--> Utilities --- > Version -

> Version Management.

It will show you list of request created for the program.. Click on any request and you can see program version in that request...

hi ,

if you want to compare version and you know the program name then goto se38 open that program gto utility tab ~~>version~~>version management.

in that u will get the active version as well as other versions you can check the version to coampare then you can do remote comparision if you want to compare it with other system,u can give target system or rfc destination in that.
