Error in getting material

Hi,

I am trying to access an material from my portal, but i am getting an error " it is in use by me in mode E ".

I tried by closing ever y SAP log in. But still i am getting this error.

Could you plz help me , how to release this material from lock.

Check in SM12 whether material records are locked. If yes, release the lock entries.

Use the tcode SM12 and release the locks..

Well logging off CAN help, but it´s not guaranteed. Why is that?

If your triggered a work process that locks your material, this work process runs on the server then.

Logging off wont help it and wont stop the process, so your materials is still locked as long as the process isnt done.

this MAY be the problem but there could be several other reasons as well.
