Regarding Cu50

Dear all,

We have a no of configure materials. I am creating sales quotation and order from external system. Almost each material of us contain nearly 50 characteristics.

We will give only few of them as a option for customer at the time of creation of quotation or order . These data we are maintain at ct04 . There is an option whether visible or not . if it is visible we can see them at cu50 screen.

The same cu50 screen we i can see at va21 or vao1 at the time of selecting characteristics. I tried with different fm and coding but i am not yet get that.

Is it possible to show the get default characteristics. If any body one work on this previously on this please share me your ideas on this.

idea:

new characteristic: internal / external

write a procedure: if ...external > no display characteristics...

set the procedure at your config profile.

But how can we set internal/external > may also with an procedure ?

I think it´s easier to work with procedurs on config profile instead of the abap coding....

Thank you for your reply. Finally i got a reply from one . Here the new characteristics are internal only . but they have some options . If is from external also it should display all the characteristics . from they customer may select the options.

hi, a little story:

one or two years ago I had to imploy a shop of config materials in a Webgui ( ITS ). Our Business tell me that the customer shoud see the Characteristics & Values, but i´t´s to difficult for the customer to make the configuation.....

ok what I have done:

1. Made a tool to save configurations in a Z table

Table: Matnr, kunnr, varnam, .... IMCOUNT, inlcude IBVALUE0

Prog: using FM CE_C_PROCESSING to fill this table....

2. our business define Variants for our customer & save that into the z table..

3. customer oder prozess:

customer choose one of his defined variant
Display z-Table Values in a table control
Values of the z-Table are nearly complient with Bapi_create_order 2.. > config

THE End...

So if it were possible for you to define Variants instead of possibility to config of the user... take my story....

if not...

try:

A: part of my story for fix characterisics

B: small config profil & less characteristics for the user configs

write A & B into the Bapi_create....2 ..

Risk: A & B must be part of the whole profile of the config material...

Best Practise >>> no no & no....

Could work >> maybe... ( with trend to yes )

Lot of work >> YES

difficult to understand >> yes
