Layout editor problem

Folks,

I am getting the following error when I did a syntax check on the layout editor after adding a field 'The combo box may not have an ID'

I am pasting the explaination here. Please help.

Diagnosis

The error occurred while the screen was being checked or saved and

generated.

System Response

If this message appears during checking, the screen remains unchanged.

If, however, the screen was saved in the change mode, the source form

was saved but the executable load form could not be generated.

HI Naren,

By the message description,what I understand is that you may not have an ID for the combo box element, which i don't understand..:)..

Try removing the name of that combobox and see if your are still getting the same error.

sometimes you need to activate the whoole screen program by saying activate anyway button and then check again to see if the message recurs..

did you gave all the attributes properly.

you should mention the name .

and now check it.

Hi Naren,

what i understand by the message is, the combox box many not have an ID, check all the controls and screen whether they are named properly..

you need to active all the inicludes,screens etc of the program to work properly.

open your program in se80, right click on your program name on the left side pane and right click and activate. now test your program...
