how tu run the program in background

Hi SapAll.

actually iam new to ABAP ,i just want to know on how i can run the particular program in background .

can any one explain me in steps .

i also want to know on how to delete the particular job which has been already created in sm36 .

will be waiting for best response.

Hi,

You can use the Transaction Code SM36 to schedule the job in backround and the same the Transaction you can able to delete the job.

in program se38->Excute background

se36->job selection->in list selet the job -->press delete button

i know that i must use sm37 but i just want the steps to configure the job creation for running the program in background for a specifed time interval.

Find the below steps to be defined.

1. Go to SM36 -

> Give the Program Name

2. If you have priority defined that to in Job class

3. Click -

> Start Condition

4. Select Data/Time Tab

5. Give the Date and Time for the job execution. (If you want to certain intervale provide it)

Hi,

Follow these steps

1.Go to SM36, give the desired job name and click on JOB WIZARD, fill the necessary details by folowwing next steps, give the programe name and variant with which you want to execute the report.Schedule the job immidietely or later stage as per the requirement.

save the job.

Go to SM37-> Give the scheduled job name and execute

you can see the details of the job by selecting the job and then checking the log.From SM37, you can delete the already processed jobs if log is not required.

Hi...

1) create a variant in SE38 Transaction

2) Go to transaction SM36 , give job name and select Job class

3) Go to step tab and give progname and variant

4) go to start condition tab and selcet "immediate" and mention periodic values also.
