ws_download problem

Hi,

I have a file. One of the field type of this file is string. This field can contain long data. It may extend 256 ch long.

Then I want to download this file to excel.(WS_DOWNLOAD COMMAND) There is no error messages . Also sy-subrc return 0 value. But no data is downloaded. Excel worksheet is created but it is empty.

After I try this download operation in debug mode by running my abap program. I have an internal table which include all data's of my ZXX table. When I insert internal table I see that all my data is in my internal table. Then I use save as excel worksheet button to send my data to excel. All of my table is downloaaded truely.

In the other side I use se16. Then I use system~~> list~~> download operations to download table data to excel worksheet. Only 256 characters of my data is downloaded.

How can I solve my problem.

(In the string value I have both character and numeric data . All data is concatenated into one string field.)

Hi Aysu TAMCI ,

WS_DOWNLOAD is an old function module to download the data.

Are you using ECC 6.0 or lesser version of it.. like 4.6 or 4.7...?

However, please try with the function module : GUI_DOWNLOAD.

Hi..

In SE16, don't give maximum no. of hits so that it will display all the records stored in table. you cn download all the data.
