Table control configuration

Hi all,

In any Table control, when we click on configuration button(top right corner of table control), we get an Table settings popup. Once we click on Administrator tab, we get another pop-up showing current settings. This current settings are the ones defined in the layout of the screen. In this pop-up, is it possible to change the position and length of the columns during run-time withoutout changing the settings in the screen layout.

The sample table control of VA01 tcode can be checked to see what I am referring about.

Any pointers would be helpful.

In this case why don't you create a variant and use it.

I can create a variant, but even the variant doesnt allow me to change the position and the length of the column.

I think we can't change the Position and Length using this Option.

Hi Sachin,

See do the following,

1. When you run the transaction and the screen is displayed with the table control just select the column whose position you want to change and Drag & Drop it before the other column this will change its position and then if you want to resize it do it using the mouse and then save this variant and mark it as Default, if you want the settings to appear every time the screen is displayed.

This will do it.

And further to add to it now after setting the layout if you check the administrator button then you will observe that the co-ordinates of the column has been changed.
