exits for serial numbers validation

I need to validate the serial number ie i need to check whether the user entered the serial number or not. So i am searching for badi or customer exists.

please tell me the exists that work for serial number validations for this transactions.

I have checked all the enhancements told by kesav, the break point is not stopping in the include.

What I did is..

i went in smod inside the each enhancement and inside the fm and inside the include and placed a statement break-point.

and when i did MB1A transaction and entered serial number and trying to save it , the break point is not stopped inside the include and the document is created.

Do i need to create a project in cmod , then only the break point will work?

Please give me the suggestions

You can test it in smod, entr the enhacement name and hit f8, then follow the steps.

I tested in the smod , when ever i enter the serial number and press enter in the transaction then only at one include ZXQSMU07 the break point is stopping .

In this include the import data is sernr and matnr.

Now my requirement is to check whether there is any data in the serial number fild or not.

If we dont input any value for serial number in the transaction ex :MB1A and press save then the inculde is not called , the document is saved.

include ZXQSMU07 is useful only when the serial number field is having any value entered other wise no use.

Please suggest further steps

How does it accept blank serial no, if the stock is there the serial no must be specified right ?

Serial number inventory is performed for all materials with serial number requirement. For this, you must maintain the following settings:

In the material master record, a serial number profile must be entered containing the serialization procedure MMSL (Maintain goods receipt and goods issue document), with the indicator for Serial number usage configured in such a way that serial numbers must be assigned.

The stock check indicator in the serial number profile should be configured in such a way that an error message is displayed in the event of inconsistencies in inventory management.

based on the client requirement the serial number is not mandatory at that point of time.

It means when the user is doing the transaction manually ex MB1A there he can enter the serial number or not ( for this only we need an exit so that we will validate some other details in the background and decide whether the serial number is mandatory in MB1A or not on that time).

I have gone through SAP Note 92970.This note says the serial number enhancements does not work untill we go to the serial number screen.
