If your report is in ALV format, it already has inbuilt functionality for downloading the data. Even the standard list (O/P created using WRITE statements) has this option through menu=&amp;gt;System=&amp;gt;List=&amp;gt;save=&amp;gt;Local file.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Vinod.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi SapAll.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;here i have got to add some fields to the selection screen of the report.in the technical spec it is described  as :&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It should be possible to download the report onto an excel spreadsheet for manipulation purposes.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;but i cont see on which is the function module that generated excel spread cheet.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;but i can see some of the function modules here :&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;'G_SET_TREE_ADD_POINTERS,G_SET_GET_ID_FROM_NAME,'G_SET_TREE_IMPORT'.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;so can any body help me what these function modules do.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;regards.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Varma.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Verma,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you are showing report in ALV then you will get one button as exprot. Once you click on that button you will get Spread sheet option. Select that option and download in excel format.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  If you want function module then you can use GUI_DOWNLOAD.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Padmakar&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
