Zcode maintenance in T020

Hi everyone,

I have created a custom code ZMM03 for standard code MM03.

Do I need to maintain it in table T020 or other tables?

What is the the significance of maintaining an entry in T020 table?

Not required to maintain in T020 table.

Ok. But under what circumstances do we actually maintain a z tcode in T020?

Any idea?

Why do you need to enter the Z Tcode in T020. It will not have any effect. Moreover, T020 table delivery class is S - which means this table should not be manipulated by the customer, it is for SAP use only.

The t020 is FI/AM Transaction Control table which SAP has maint. Based on this it controls many other things... So if you want to get ur tcode working u will have to create an entry in this table. There is no condition in which this tcode is saved. U will have to do manually. Copy the entry of mm03, if present and create new entry.

So basically ur t code is for MM03 TRANSACTION, so i feel that there is no need to maintain in table T020

Hello Rani,

Since, he has created a Z Code ZMM03 for MM03, so, he will required to maintain a new entry which will be copy of MM03 and rename it to ZMM03.

Why ZMM03? I hope that is because the site has created a transaction variant for MM03, and this is the variant transaction code to utilize that variant. I trust your installation did not copy and whack and hack on SAP's MM master data maintenance programming.
