Refresh select option without pressing Enter Key

Hi Experts,

I am using Select Options to fetch and display 2 data fields.

My requirement is I should get the second data field based on the first selection.I am getting the data properly once Enter key is pressed after first selection.If Enter key is not pressed data is not getting displayed properly.I am using a Ztable to store these data.

Eg: 1st selection is Work Area(using F4)

If I select a Work Area,all the Process which is stored against that Work Area should only be displayed in the second Option.

How to refresh select option without pressing Enter Key?

This may not be helpful...but....

On selection screens, I use the addition user-command <command>. When the value changes, event SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT is triggered, whereby I can change other field attributes, contents, etc. However, there are limitations...I've not tried using the user-command addition on anything except checkbox and radiobutton elements. I seem to recall a one-byte limitation on field size that user-command could be applied to.

hi Sam,

there are two ways for ur query on select-options(s_option)

let s_option = 'abc'.

1. you can use user command event where u can set the value for ur select options.

2. you can use radio button(RB), can code like,

if RB = 'x'.

set s_option = 'xyz'.

FYI ... You cannot use the USER-COMMAND addition with SELECT-OPTIONS / PARAMETERS

Hello Swarna,

Anyways as per SAP jargon radiobuttons, checkboxes, listbox are all PARAMETERS.

But what i meant was you cannot use USER-COMMAND with a param declared like:

PARAMETER: P_BUKRS TYPE BUKRS

Hi Experts,

Thanx for ur valuable tips.

I am using 2 Select options for displaying data.If i select 1 field from 1st Select option, based on this selection i should get values in 2nd Select option.

I am using F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST Function module to fetch data based on 2nd select option.

How to avoid Pressing Enter key for displaying data in 2nd selection screen.

Try using function modules DYNP_VALUES_READ and DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE for this.

Have you tried using SET USER-COMMAND

I've never used it before but worth giving it a try.
