Table Maintenance Probelm

hi,

I have a table maintenance generated for a ‘Z’ table.

Every time I make any changes to this table at the fields level, I have to regenerate the Table maintenance.

Once, I regenerate the table maintenance, the modules I have added in the maintenance screens disappear.

Is there any way that the modules will be retained every time the table maintenance is regenerated.

If not, is it possible to give a warning message to developer every time any change is made to the tables? (Changes at the field level not…contents of the

table).

Sanjay,

I don't think that will be possible. You will loose all the custom coding you have done, as the entire thing will be regenerated.

it is not possible to retain custom coding.

You can download whatever code you have written.

I would put the custom coding into a Function Moudule. Then the FM can be added again when the screen is regenerated.

before doing any changes, take backup and delete the old one and regenerate .

and add the codes which was there earlier and modify accordingly..

Put all your custom modules in an include. Whenever you regenerate your table maintenance, just put the include back in the main program of the function group. That way you will not lose the code.
