Adding search help to a standard data element IMA_USR00

Hi,

i want to create a search help and add it to a std data element IMA_USR00. The table is IMAK and field is USR00. USR00 is somewht 50 field of IMAK. So thr can be value repetions and so i may need to add a search help exit as well. i just want to know how to make this work out. i have a sample search help exit FM F4IF_SHLP_EXIT_EXAMPLE. Please help.

Hi,

where exactly you would be using the field IMAK-USR00 if it is a report parameter

you can define a search help and assign the search help to the parmater as below.

parameters : p_mbach type c matchcode object ZNRD_TMABC_SH.

If you want to assigjn a search help to a standard DE then you require an acess key.

or u can even use the following FM 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST' on

AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST FOR P_MBACH
