That functionality is coming from ALV. Look at the sample programs named BCALV*. Once you output your internal table data using OO ALV (and make sure you do display the tool bar), that functionality will come automatically into your program.

Specifically, look at BCALV_TEST_GRID_TOOLBAR.

Hello experts,

I have a requirement and was hoping someone here could guide/advice me in the right direction. In SE16N, after we display the records of any table, we can use Export -> Local file -> Unconverted functionality to extract displayed records into a text file. I would like to implement this functionality inside a program. The bottom line is the text file format from my program shoud be identical to the format Export -> Local file -> Unconverted. Any ideas/suggestions please?

I forgot to mention in my earlier post. I do not want to display the records. I have my contents in my internal table and I have my filename and path where the file need to be saved on my PC. I would like to throw the contents in my internal table into this file without displaying anything and this format should be identical to the format we get from Export -> Localfile -> unconverted. Please suggest.

That's a pretty important part of the requirement that you "forgot to mention". You will get better answers from the forum if you describe your problem completely and correctly the first time; otherwise, you have to hope that people will be able to follow the train of questions, answers and clarifications.

The subject of you post is SE16N, but it doesn't really appear that your question has anything to do with SE16N.

Rob

Edited by: Rob Burbank on Dec 17, 2009 3:07 PM
