LSMW - Imported Data File Path ??

Dear All,

in LSMW, 7th step Specify files,

I realized that there only file name 'Ztest.lsmw.read' for imported data.

Where does the system saves this data ?/

How does the system know the file path ?

How can I change the default file path ?

if you do not specify a path the file usually is stored in DIR_HOME (transaction AL11). You can change it by simply double click the line

Hi Anitha,

Click on the below line:

Legacy Data On the PC (Frontend)

which will give a popup where you can give the file name and can be able to set the parameters for the file.

all other options are, where is the data gets stored after it is read, and after it is converted.

Thank you for the quick reply. I checked in al11 but could not find the data in DIR_HOME.

Anyhow..How do I know where the converted and imported files are saving and How can I change them ??

If your file name is just ZTEST.lsmw.read than system would try to create/read this file without any directory. I would suggest to change this file name and assign it to some specific folder e.g. /conversion/ZTEST.lsmw.read

ask your system admin for the default directory.

Where to store the metafiles is to be ask the system admin, too. Depends on the path structure and the syntax depends on the operating system. Could be something like /usr/sap/home ...

Why do you want to change the file path for those read and converted files...is there a specific need.
