BSEG-DMBTR field calculation error

Hi,

I am having a structure for BSEG table.DMBTR is the field to calculate the amount.while performing loop calculation the amount exceeds CURR13,DEC2 length,and thus gives the following

DUMP: Field too small when calculating totals in internal table.

Should I define a ZDATAELEMENT? When I am assigning the DMBTR field to type STRING,it gives error while doing SELECT.

Please Advice

Try this..

do one thing increase the length of filed in the internal table.

Hello

In internal table declare field DMBTR with size more than CURR13,DEC2 (for example CURR16,DEC2).

Hi,

You can fetch the data from table using ORIGINAL length and type of DMBTR and while calculating, you can populate it in a character field like WV_DMBTR(30).

This would solve your problem.
