Error: Screen output without connection to user

Hi,

I am trying to add a new mime object using the following call:

CALL METHOD mime_repository->put

EXPORTING

i_url = url

i_content = lv_file_content

i_check_authority = ' '

i_language = sy-langu

i_suppress_package_dialog = 'X'

EXCEPTIONS

parameter_missing = 1

error_occured = 2

cancelled = 3

permission_failure = 4

data_inconsistency = 5

new_loio_already_exists = 6

is_folder = 7.

While executing this i am getting a dump. The error reported is: Screen output without connection to user.

Can anybody help me out in solving this issue.

This error is usually output when making a RFC call to a function. The RFC user is usually of type 'system', rather than 'dialogue', and the function is trying to output information to a screen, but this is not possible for a non dialogue user.

Is this program being called remotely ?

Hi Paul,

Thanks a lot for your suggestion.

While running this program in the developmen system, it is running and I am able to upload the file/image to the mime repository.

But when I run the same program in the test system, I am getting the above mentioned error.

Sounds like it could be an authorisation issue, does you userid in dev and test have the same authorisation profiles ?

Hi Paul,

Actually the problem was with the authorization only. Also, in test system we were trying the suppress the dialogue for entering the transport request. Hence, we are not able to go further with mime repository and so have moved to attachements for uploading pictures.

We encounter the same issue, and found it was a credit block; so we solved through VKM3.
