Possible return codes for CALL 'SYSTEM' ID 'COMMAND' FIELD ---- statement

Dear Experts,

In one of our custom program I can see below program statement and after this they are checking for return code -1. I would like to know what all are the possible return codes for this statement other than 0 and -1. Atleast, is there any chance for return codes other than 0 and -1. Thanks for your valuable inputs.

CALL 'SYSTEM' ID 'COMMAND' FIELD lf_folder_z

ID 'TAB' FIELD lt_result.

I didn't get wht exactly system means & from where it's getting value...

Could you plz explain me the above command...
