One minute per IDoc? How much data is inside? Is it a standard SAP or customer function processing the IDocs? In the former case you could have a look in OSS for SAP notes, in the latter case you should try to improve the performance of your code by tracing the execution and see where the bottlenecks are.

Thomas

Hello,

We are using RBDAPP01 to handle about 500 IDOCs a night.

When "Packet" is set to "1" it works fine, but it needs one minute to handle one IDOC.

That's why we tried to set this value to 10 and 100. The performances of the IDOC handling increased.

Now we would like to avoid potential risks when we set this value in production

First of all, we wonder if doing this (ex:set Packet to 100) in the production will affect the global performances ?

Secondly does the changing of this value imply that there are more ressources used ?

Can we improve the way it is handled ? (For example Parallel processing)

Could there be a problem when several IDOCs are linked to the same contract and are processed simultaneously?

Thanks in advance for your help

Best regards

Hi Martin,

Welcome to SCN.,

Obviously increasing the packet will increase the performance provided there are enough system resources available to take care of the processing.

Even i have used packet size of 150 while processing the idocs in my previous project. We never had any issue in doing so rather a quick processing

Hope this clarifies.

Cheers,

Hakim
