HRMD_A reduced message type

Hi,

I have configured everything needed for a reduced message type to successfully generate an IDOC. And it is generating the IDOC and updating the target system accordingly. My problem now is that all the fields are being passed and not only the fields that I have chosen in BD53.

I have followed the instructions in this. However, only transaction BD52 is not done.

Can someone explain to me what I am missing. Also, is BD52 significant in this process?

Hi,

Are you using the new Message Type which has been created with the reduction?

Could be that you create the reduction(for example ZHRMD_A), but when you generate the idoc you are using the original message type (HRMD_A). Which is incorrect.

I have made reduction of the mesaage type HRMD_A and I did not do anything in transaction BD52.

Only with BD53, you create the reduction, indicates the Reference Message Type, then you select the segments, and each field to be sent. Also in BD53 you activate the corresponding change pointers, if you need them.
