Reprocessing idocs

Hi all,

When i tried to simulate idoc of message type BOMMAT03, i got the error as "EDI: Syntax error in IDoc (too many repetitions of a group)", then I tried reprocessing and the status was changed from 60 to 53.

Later when i analysed the error i understood that i hv violated the maximum number of segments and so i hv got that error. So my doubt was how reprocessing is done successfully.

Pls can someone explain me the reason for this issue.

Are u really sure it happened without changing the settings,

some1 might have increased the segment number value,

check that in the system, compare it with actual number of segments

Hi,

I'm sure that there is no increase in the segments and no change in the settings too. When i tried to simulate another idoc similar to that idoc, it goes in stating that same syntax error and dat willl not be the case if someone hv changed it and it would hv gone to status 53.

Is there any way to change the number of segments in we30.

1. go to we30.

2. choose edit -> relaese remove (or how ot´s called).

3. choose Segment -> double click and change max num of records.

4.save

5. Set release

Hi,

Thanks to both for your replies.

My major doubt is reg dat reprocessing issue. Can anyone throw some light on dat area.

Reg the number of segments, when i tried to cancel release, i'm getting the message,

" Basic type BOMMAT03 has successor BOMMAT04". So i cannot edit the maximum number of segments in that case.

Hi,

When you are using a standard Basic type you cann't change the maximum number of occurence of any segment, if you want to do that you need to copy the standard basic type into a custom basic type and then change.
