Dear forum,

I am tasked to automate creation of business partners. This was used be done using the transaction BUI1 and I first decided to use BDC. Unfortunately, BDC seems really problematic and difficult with this system.

I saw BAPI_BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA and thought that it would be useful. I already started programming today and found out that it only populates the first tab of BUI1.

Am I wrong or should I look into other BAPIs as well? What can you suggest? I also need to populate the Control, Long Texts, and Customer Data tabs of transaction BUI1. I already tried to search the net and this website but haven't found any solution.

Any solutions that would point me to the right direction will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Kyle

(Just a side note: I was not trained at CRM)

After a bunch of reading and trying several solutions posted here, I found out that fields from the two tabs in bui1 in our system were created using EEWB (tried EEWB when I saw [;).

I will try BUPA_CENTRAL_CI_CHANGE (as stated in that page) when I get back to the office.

As of now, I'm wondering how I can fill the Long Texts in transaction BUI1.

Any advises?

Thanks a lot!

--

Kyle

The Function module mentioned to change the EEWB fields is the one to use. It works just fine for us.

In general, most of the function modules needed to create/change a business partner can be found when searching for function groups with pattern: BUBA* in SE80.

For updating the long text...that one is also already mentioned in previous reply. You should be ok with all the info provided.

To find out which info you need for updating / creating a text can be found by double clicking in the text editor (only in change mode). You will be forward navigated to the 'sap script' editor. Via the menu Go To->Header.
