Analysis authorization Aithorization Variable.

Hi,

We are having a problem with BI reports.

There are reports running on multi provider and the orgunit authorization is restricted with hierarchy .

And the type of the input selection for this is authorization.

The hierarchy is like 164 node type of authorization is 1.

So as per my understanding starting from 164 all the subtrees will be authorized by above authorization.

So when the user runs report A the values automatically filled for orgunit is:164-200".As last sub tree below 164 is 200.

But where as if user runs report B it is getting Org value as 164 alone.

But in both the queries the value for org unit is getting filled by authorization and teh analysis authorization is same .

So Is there any other way we can get different values for the orgunit by taking variable as authorization.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Vani,

There will be two types of auth variable 1. value auth. variable 2. hierarchy auth. variable.

Please open report B in query designer and check the authorization variable used is for Heirarchy.

If you selected Value auth. variable then it may pickup only 164 value.
