topic How to get multiple file pointers at once in Application Development and Automation Discussions

Hi, is there a function like F4_FILENAME that instead of getting a single file name returns a table with many ?

Actually I need something like "get all .txt files". I can LOOP over the entire list and do it with F4_FILENAME, but I need a way to determine the files I need to work with.

Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Avraham

Hello Avraham,

Which version of SAP are you in ?? In my system i donot have F4_GETFILE.

But if you want to select multiple files you can use the mthod FILE_OPEN_DIALOG of the class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES.

Here if you mark MULTISELECTION = 'X', it will return you the multiple files in the table FILE_TABLE.

Hope this helps.

BR,

Suhas
