I have created a editor box(like the description box under Description tab in QM01) using class cl_gui_custom_container and cl_gui_textedit. I am able to create and display the text I type in the box alongwith other standard changes but if I try to change and save the text only in the custom text box, it is not getting saved. Consider all the scenarios by Using read_text in PBO and edit_text FM in PAI.
