AL11 Open Dataset Problem

Hi All,

As per requirement I am sending data (Material Number & Descriptions) to the application server i.e. AL11. Material description contains some special characters ( like , u201C ; etc) . From AL11 customer fetching data to Informatica. While fetching data to informatica the special characters are not appeared properly.

Syntax for Open dataset is as follows (Version ECC 6.0) :

OPEN DATASET l_fpath FOR OUTPUT in text mode ENCODING utf-8.

Could anybody please assist me in this regard. Thanks In advance.

open the dataset in binary mode. don't forget to append CrLf (hex 0D0A) at the end of line.

And transfer the file in binary mode,

Tell your third party company that it is time to go for unicode.
