Why is it that the date move to the end of the Excel Spreadsheet. What could be the cause of this event? Thanks!!

Hi Guys,

I would really really like to know why is it that when I used to Generate Report and want to export it as Excel Spreasheet. All the dates moved at the end. Is this normal? How can I fix this problem in the program. Please give me answers and I will award points.

Hi van,

1. Ya its normal.

2. when the report output is a normal list output,

 then there is no guarantee

how the data will goto excel,

in proper columns or not !

(it all depends upon the

formatting of the list output)

3. However, if the data is in itab format,

 then we can use GUI_DOWNLOAD

and the data will go proper.

regards,

amit m.

Hi Amit,

One more clarification, I forgot to say that the report output is an ALV output. The scenario is this if i have 5 fields. Personnel Number, Date of Birth, Date Hired, Termination date and Name. If I export them to an Excel Spreadsheet the arrangement change to Personnel Number, Name, Date of Birth, Date Hired and Termination Date. Is this still normal? Thanks!!

Hi again,

1. ideally it should not happen like this.

2. what appears, should go into excel.

3. is the sequence of fields in itab,

different from the one which is show in alv

 (by manipulating the sequence)?

regards,

amit m.

Usually the arrangement of field in the itab is the same arrangement which is show in alv. What do you think of this problem? Did you ever try exporting an ALV output into Excel file. Btw i used this steps click LIST --> EXPORT --> SPREADSHEET --> TABLE. Thanks!
