New developer needs help.

hi all ! Im got my ABAP developer/consultant certification in November, sadly because of personal business reasons, I have not practice at all, and I think the best way to dont forget what I learned is to practice by myself until I get a job as a developer.

So my first question is. What do I need to download to develop & test some self made programs / procedures in ABAP.

Any other recomendations that you have will be welcome.

Hi,

First of all, I just want you to know that this is probably not a correct forum cathegory to discuss such topics. I think more appropriate would be [Integration and Certification Center|/community [original link is broken];. If not pointed by me, would probably be marked by moderators, so please make sure you have familirize with [Rules of Engagement|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/HOME/RulesofEngagement]. Everyone here strictly pays attention to it.

But as for you query. Download [SAP NetWeaver 7.01 tial version|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/80fd9a0a-e306-2a10-c896-b84c77c13ed2] and install it. This will probably take you some time but its worth it. Here you can test your code and develop new one. There are also plenty of integrated tutorials, which you can follow to fresh up your knowledge (or gain new one).

Really admire someone taking certification exam without prior experience. It must have been tought for you.

First of all thanks for the reply. I wasnt really sure where to post, specially by seeing the other post. But I couldnt find a proper place, thanks for the help.

About the certification, thanks for the kind words.... I do have some programming experience (JAVA and C++), it was difficult but not THAT much there is A LOT of content tho, I did the course but sadly I fail the first time by only 6 points then 7 months later I took it over again and pass it (study by myself).

I will get the trial version of netweaver and see if the magic is still there hahaha.
