Infotype Problem

Dear all,

I m Created one infotype.

Infotype is work Perfectly.

But the Problem is...........

Suppose i m creating one new entry for an Employee for this infotype with Start Date 07.08.2009 and End Date with 31.12.2009.

The Infotype Table is Updated with this Employee Data Like:

Employee ID ENDDA BEGDA

11200023 31.12.9999 07.08.2009

Now, i m going to re create the Infotype entry for this Employee with Start Date 08.09.2009 and End Date with 31.12.2009

Now Table is:

Employee ID ENDDA BEGDA

11200023 31.12.9999 07.08.2009

11200023 31.12.9999 08.09.2009

Actually i want to do one thing that is when any time i re create the entry then previous entry's End date (ENDDA) will be changed.

Like this:

Employee ID ENDDA BEGDA

11200023 31.12.9999 07.08.2009

11200023 31.12.9999 08.09.2009

My Requirement is:

Employee ID ENDDA BEGDA

11200023 07.09.2009 07.08.2009

11200023 31.12.9999 08.09.2009

Means ENDDA will be Changed after New Entry

Please Help me.

It is the problem with the Time Constraint of the Infotype.

Check your Time Constraint of your create Infotype.

In PM01 transaction, give your infotype, click infotype characteristics,display.

In general attributes , change time constraint to 2.

Click on INFOTYPE CHARACTERISTICS in PM01 and then select your infotype and then Click on Disply/Change.

Hi,

Once you have created a new infotype, you need to provide the Infotype characteristics and technical attributes.

When you maintain these things you will need to provide the time constraint in the general attributes. provide value 1 in the field this will delimit the record.

While Creating the PA Info types and while Creating PA infotypes u2013 Infotype Table, it will prompts u for the Time Constraint.
